We love the idea of incorporating hand-painted art on wedding details. It adds pops of color and a unique artistic beauty.   If you're wondering where to integrate that artsy touch, here's a list of ideas.

Maps
These days, maps are a little old fashioned! But we've found that adding a custom map to your wedding invitation suite is an elegant and fun way for guests to get where they need to go. Plus, it makes a great momento of the day.  Your wedding map can have as much or as little detail as you want.  It can be a full watercolor painting with lots of intricate painted elements or it can be a simple and classic line drawing styled to match your invitation suite.

Signs
Signs are an eye-catching way to incorporate hand-painted details into your ceremony and reception. They can be any size and practically any material ranging from wood, chalkboard, framed art board, canvas, or (our personal favorite) glass! The goal is to create a piece that complements your wedding style. Signs can serve a variety of purposes from welcoming guests to the ceremony site to guiding them to their table for the reception.

Programs
In addition to laying out the order of events for your guests and recognizing the friends and loved ones standing with you, the wedding program often goes home with your guests as a momento. Make it an artistic and memorable piece they won't want to toss!  Ask your wedding artist to incorporate your monogram, or other painted details. Keep it subtle but striking.

Vows
Having your calligrapher and/or artist create custom designed wedding vows is beautiful for reading on your wedding day and makes a wonderful keepsake for your home, reminding you of your love and commitment for years to come. You can incorporate hand-painting on your wedding vows by having your artist create an abstract background, a monogram or a floral or leafy wreath or border.

Table Numbers
Table Numbers are a statement for guests to see on each table - especially their own. Having painted elements makes them even more eye-catching. Coordinate the design to your table decor and floral arrangements for a stunning and cohesive look.

Menus
You've taken great care to choose a menu that is both delicious and reflective of your wedding style and personal tastes. Show it off in a memorable way with a hand-painted menu. Make it artistic by adding painted fruits or vegetables or incorporating elements from your wedding suite and other paper goods.

Place Cards
Adding painted details to place cards can be tricky because you don't want to take away from your guests' names. To get that artsy touch in a subtle way, add something small like a leaf motif or paint stroke that matches the style of the other pieces in your table arrangement.

We hope these ideas sparked your imagination and creativity for the details of your wedding day! Have one we haven't thought of? We'd love to hear about it. As you can see, there are endless places for artistic expression through painting in your ceremony and reception. Happy planning!
